Coverage Option A -- LIMITED LIABILITY As a licensed common carrier, we are required to provide a Limited Liability coverage at no charge to the customer. Under this option maximum liability is limited to $0.60 per pound per article, in the event of damage or loss. Option B -- DEPRECIATED VALUE PROTECTION With Depreciated Value Protection a claim settlement will be either the cost to repair the item or a cash payment of the depreciated value of an article. Depreciation reduces the value of an object, based upon its age and the percent it has decreased each year, resulting in its market value. As a rule of thumb, most articles depreciate at the rate of 20% - 30% the first year, and 15% - 25% subsequent years. Isaac's uses a standard depreciation chart to determine any cash payment settlement under this coverage. Option C -- FULL VALUE PROTECTION - $250 DEDUCTIBLE Isaac's Full-Value Protection provides the highest level of coverage for your personal possessions. After the $250 deductible is applied the coverage will guarantee either; replacement of the articles lost or damaged while in carrier's custody, reimbursement for full replacement cost (as determined by current market value), or repairs to a damaged item to the extent necessary to restore the item to the same condition as when received by carrier from the shipper. The action taken will be determined by whichever means cost less. |
